I spent two months in Azerbaijan exploring regional food traditions and sourcing distinctive ingredients that align with Elixir’s identity. During this time, I visited local farms, small producers, and traditional markets across Lankaran, the Absheron region, and the northern highlands to understand the origins, seasonality, and craftsmanship behind the products I plan to use. This trip allowed me to build direct relationships with growers and artisans, giving Elixir access to ingredients that are both authentic and uncommon, and grounding the concept in a deeper connection to place and culture.
